The wings are greyish, with a pale spot just beyond the second radial cell; another extending from the costa over vein r-m into cell m just basally to the junction of veins M1 and M2, and another in the anal cell forming a line of pale spots across the wing. The male genitalia resemble those of C. pallidicornis, with a deep central notch on the posterior border of the ninth tergite, and the ninth sternite membrane with abundant spicules. The female AR is 1.12-1.34; the SD is 3,11-15. The figures are from Glukhova (1989).
The larva was described by Glukhova (1979); the are found in much the same habitat as others of the subgenus, in decaying leaf litter.
Widely distributed throughout Europe and Scandinavia to Russia.
Nothing known.
